Full Time Custodian for Cheney Middle / High School. Hours will be 3:00-11:30pm Monday-Friday.

Maintains and keeps all assigned facilities clean, safe, sanitary and in orderly condition; provides classroom and program support by performing duties assigned by immediate Supervisor and/or principal. 

Essential Job Duties:  (others may be assigned)

  1. Performs housekeeping duties which shall include but not be limited to the following:  sweeps, dusts, strip floors, scrubs, mops, polishes, waxes, buffs and vacuums hallways, stairs, classrooms and offices; empties all inside and outside trash containers; assists with periodic or emergency classroom clean-up duties.
  2. Performs work order projects such as:  assist in moving, hauling and rearranging furniture as classroom or building revisions are made; setting up and storage of audio visual, classroom equipment and/or curriculum materials.
  3. Inspects for needs.
  4. Follows written and oral directions for job duties; stays alert to and reports emergency situations; abides by district safety standards.
  5. Uses cleaning implements, equipment, and machinery provided by the district to accomplish job tasks including but not limited to sweepers and vacuums, scrubbers, waxers and buffers, etc.
  6. Manages job requirements with physical mobility to move from place to place (walks, stands, sits, pushes, pulls, lifts up to 30 pounds on a daily basis).
  7. Manages job requirements with ability to communicate and make observations and recommendations.
