A New School Year, A New Look!

  Welcome back!  This school year you will see lots of "new" things going on in our cafeterias.  One of the biggest changes is a self-serve salad bar for all ages every day.  Fruits and vegetables should make up 3/4 of our healthy plates each meal, and we are making it easier for the students and staff at USD 268 to accomplish this guideline.  We have also revamped the menus based on the student and parent surveys conducted last spring, and we hope they will find some familiar items as well as some new favorites on the menus this year.

  Also new this year is our social media page.  Join our Facebook page, @usd268nutrition, to get an inside look at what is happening in our cafeterias as well as daily pictures of the meal trays.  We will also post some nutrition and wellness tips throughout the year, including recipes and other fun educational tidbits.
