Our CHS Marching Band finished 2nd in Class 3A at the Kansas Marching Championships this past weekend. Our students also took first in Visual Performance and first in Auxiliary (Way to go Color Guard!).
In the evening we competed in finals with class 3A & 4A combined and finished in 5th place overall. Our wind and percussion really stepped up in the evening and finished in 2nd overall in Music Ensemble during the combined event.
It was a huge day for our music department and it was exciting to see our students do so well in the first competitive marching event ever for our band.
